Social Responsibility

The International Centre for Security Excellence strive in all that we do, to be the best. Within our industry we aim to deliver training of the highest quality that exceeds expectations. During the last few years we have been lucky enough to work with, and train alongside, some exceptional people. We can't help but be impressed when we see a similar drive for excellence in people from other companies, sectors and even countries.

As a result over the past few years ICSE have worked with individuals, programmes and organisations that share our ideals and our belief that life changing experiences can happen through training, development and personal endeavor. Since it's inception ICSE have been involved in supporting several hand picked projects.

Third Level Student Subsidised Training

ICSE appreciate that there has never been a greater need for further education and training in Ireland. Unfortunately many students within our third level systems are unable to afford the costs associated with attaining a security license and some part time work to support themselves during their college years. They can't get work a license because they simply can't afford to, and they can't get a job without a license. In late 2011 ICSE developed, in conjunction with student unions and faculty members, a subsidised training program for third level students which allows them to receive their security training at a fraction of the normal cost. This allows successful participants an opportunity to gain a PSA licence and hopefully some part time work. The subsidised training allows third level students to complete their Fetac Level 4 Door and Guarding Skills courses at a third of the normal cost with ICSE subsidising the rest. ICSE have rolled out this program in a number of third level institutions nationwide including Limerick Institute of Technology, the Institute of Art, Design & Technology Dun Laoghaire, University College Cork and National University of Ireland Galway.

"NUI Galway Students' Union has worked with ICSE in 2011 and  2012. ICSE have been great to work with as they are very professional and prompt in all of our dealings with them. They have also been very flexible in tailoring courses to suit the needs of NUI Galway students. Our students found the courses run by ICSE of great benefit and the demand for places on these courses has been huge. We hope to continue working with ICSE in the future."

- Joanna Brophy, Assistant Manager NUI Galway Students' Union.

"Thank you so much for the training you did on campus for us. It was incredibly informative.

The instruction went above and beyond what was needed for the qualification, and many life lessons could be taken from it. Over-all it was a great sucess and we had 20 very happy and well informed students."

- David Edwards, President Institute of Art, Design & Technology Dun Laoghaire Students' Union.

Following the success of the program ICSE will continue to work with third level institutions to deliver quality training programs at a price students can afford through 2012/13. CARVE Program 2012

ICSE developed a European Funded Leonardo Da Vinci programme that allowed 20 Irish Outdoor Activity Managers, senior instructors and instructors work in 8 French Adventure Centres located around the Chamonix valley. The participants spent two weeks, from the 7th-22th January 2012, immersed in the Alpine environment learning the language and working alongside their French counterparts. In addition to working on the placement participants developed their ski and snowboarding skills, gaining valuable experience and qualifications.  The caliber of participants on the workplacement ensured a workplacement programme that exceeded many expectations. The CARVE Program 2012 Followed on from the sucess of last years Outdoor Activity Instructor Up Skilling Program (OAIUP).
