In order to apply for a Door and Static Guarding Security Licence with the Private security Authority (PSA) applicants must complete the FETAC Level 4 Door Security Procedures and Static Guarding training courses. These courses covers aspects of the skills, knowledge and theory required by participants to prepare them for working in the night time economy as a door supervisor and security guard within a shop or patrolling factories, building sites, etc. ICSE now provide both courses together in one training programme.
Due to recent developments with FETAC the Door and Static course durations have been altered significantly. However ICSE’s combined programme allows participants to complete both training programmes in just 5 class room days combined. This programme is delivered through a blended learning approach with 5 days direct contact between trainer and student. Participants are also required to complete some pre course work, practice time, study time, reflection time. Learners must conduct a home study element of the course prior to attending training programme which covers the more theoretical aspects of the programme. The more practical aspects and skills learning developed during direct contact.
The total cost for this 5 day training programme is €310. This includes:

Ready To Work Package
The Ready To Work package includes Door Security Procedures (FETAC Level 4) and also Static Guarding Skills (FETAC Level 4) with the Private Security Authority (PSA) Door Supervisor & Security Guard Static licences (€190) included for only €500. Participants completed the combined training programmes and ICSE apply for their licences on their behalf. This package contains all the necessary qualifications and PSA licence applications required to work in the Irish security industry. Participants are required to bring a photocopy of their passport or drivers licence, two passport sized photos and their PPS number for registration purposes.
This course is accredited by FETAC and successful candidates attain a FETAC level 4 minor award in Door Security Procedures and a FETAC Level 4 in Static Guarding Skills award.
