Mark Toner M.Ed FIITD FITD
Mark has been involved in the security industry for over 20 years. He holds a first class honors degree in education as well as a Masters in Training and Development, from Bradford University. His masters thesis explored the real training needs of Door Staff in modern day Ireland.
Mark is certified to train door and guarding staff in England and Ireland to the levels required for licencing by both countries. Mark is a certified security trainer with FAS and Conflict Management instructor with Edexcel. He is a certified trainer with the Non Violent Crisis Prevention Institute. He currently works with the National University of Ireland Galway on their Adult and Continuing Education programmes in Training and Development.
Mark is a Fellow of both the Irish and American Institutes of Training and Development. His outstanding contribution to the field of security training in Ireland and England was recognised recently when the prestigious Institute of Training and Occupational Learning (ITOL) invited Mark to become a fellow of the institute, their highest award.
He retains operational experience supervising crowds in excess of 60,000, at large concerts and sporting events. He has worked with a number of leading Irish event security companies over the past few years training, literally, thousands of security staff. His instructional training DVD "Stop it on the Door" is widely availible and used to train door security personnel in not alone in Ireland but in America, Australia, New Zeland the UK, as well as other countries in Europe.
Tony O'Brien
Despite his young age Tony has worked in every sector of the Irish security industry over the past 10 years including door, event, hotel, industrial and retail. His retail security experience, however, sets him apart. He has worked in retail security for companies such as Tesco, HMV, Aldi Heatons, Elverys, Smyths Toys, etc. Operating at a high level he quickly rose through the ranks and he is currently the loss prevention manager for a well know international high street brand and their stores along the entire western seaboard.
Among his suite of security qualifications Tony has completed Aggression Diffusion and Conflict Management courses with the Crisis Prevention Institute, IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) certificate in managing safety, Hi-jack management courses, ASAA foundation and intermediate certificate in handgun use, identity theft and fraud course, MAYBO level 2 and level 4 conflict management and physical intervention trainers course, Introduction to risk management and internal auditing course. In addition Tony has also been involved in martial arts for the past 18 years and is a 1st Dan Black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a 1st Dan black belt in Aikido. He has also lso trained in Judo, Freestyle wrestling, Muay Thai, Boxing and Krav Maga and Mixed Martial Arts.
Eoghan Gill B.Corp.Law, LLB
Eoghan has been involved in martial arts from a very young age. He has two law degrees from NUIG, a Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Law (1st class honours) and an LLB Degree and is currently studying for an MBA at Leicester university.
He has been involved in the security industry for 10 years and also holds certificates from a variety of security, customer care and business organisations. Eoghan is a member of the American Society of Industrial Security International, where he attends regular National, European and International Conventions on Security Practice. A certified bodyguard Eoghan is our primary instructor in the delivery of the STOP© system of self defence.
Anthony Tobia C.A.L.I
Anthony A.Tobia is one of the few professionally trained and qualified Private Investigators currently operating in Ireland and has over 22 years investigative experience. He received his qualification from the California Association of Licensed Investigators (C.A.L.I.) having trained and worked extensively with Brophy and Associates in the US.
Anthony trained directly with John Brophy, ex Deputy Chief Marshall who developed the Witness Relocation Programme for the United States Marshall Service. Anthony's international operational expertise is unrivaled. He is responsible, in association with clients, for the design, development and implementation of specalised training courses for the ICSE.
Mark Breen MMII Grad Mark has extensive safety and security experience, having been involved in the security industry since before finishing secondary school. While completing a Business Degree in the University of Limerick, he worked as a Door Supervisor in Limerick’s largest night club as well as managing and developing a Safety and Security Team based in the University of Limerick. He was also the head of security for a well known Dublin night club.
Mark has vast experience with event security, having provided and coordinated event & security staff to many of Ireland’s largest festivals in the past. He also has experience managing transportation and logistics teams at major festivals. Mark is a Graduate Member of the Marketing Institute of Ireland and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in PR & Event Management. Member of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland. Mark is an IHF PHECC CFR Instructor at Practitioner Level. This is a Cardiac First Response Instructor qualification certified by the Irish Heart Foundation (IHF), the American Heart Association (AHA) and the Pre Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC). Certification at this level qualifies Mark to teach CFR in a healthcare setting. Mark is constantly seeking to increase his level of knowledge and understanding of event safety and security. This commitment has seen Mark train with the Cabinet Office Emergency Planning College, operated by the UK Government, in the area of Public Safety at Festivals and Mass Gatherings.
