Mark Toner M.Ed BA MIITD ASTD Mark has been involved in the security industry for over 15 years. He holds a first class honors degree in education as well as a Masters in Training and Development, from Bradford University. His thesis explored the real training needs of Door Staff in modern day Ireland. He is a certified trainer with the Security Institute of Ireland and the Non Violent Crisis Prevention Institute. Mark is certified to train door and guarding staff in England and Ireland to the levels required for licencing by both countries. Mark is a certified security trainer with FAS and Conflict Management instructor with Edexcel. He currently works with the National University of Ireland Galway on their Adult and Continuing Education programmes in Training and Development. Mark is a Fellow of both the Irish and American Institutes of Training and Development. His outstanding contribution to the field of security training in Ireland and England was recognised recently when the prestigious Institute of Training and Occupational Learning (ITOL) invited Mark to become a fellow of the institute, their highest award. He retains operational experience supervising crowds in excess of 60,000, at large concerts and sporting events. He has worked with a number of leading Irish event security companies over the past few years training, literally, thousands of security staff. |
