The Conflict Management and Resolution Course is one of our most popular courses, especially with clients from outside the security industry. | In any work environment which involves constant interaction with the public it is inevitable that personnel will be exposed to acts of aggression. These acts can range from verbal aggression at one end to threats and physical violence at the other. This course gives staff who work with the public the skills to recognise when aggression is escalating and effectively diffuse or deflect such situations, protecting themselves and those around them. We give your staff the skills to understand aggression and take back control of their work space from the bully or aggressive patron. We give them tried and trusted aggression management tools as well as some of the “Tricks of the Trade” used by security professionals who deal with such individuals on a regular basis. We outline legal responsibilities for staff dealing with aggression including if the aggressive person had to be removed from the building or premises.
| We have delivered this course to staff who work within large railway stations, staff and councillors at drug treatment centres, staff who work as caters in hospitals and prisons, personnel who work in asylum centres, retail and bar staff as well as security professionals. We work with each organisation to ensure the course is tailored to your needs. The role - plays, policies and procedures are taken from your work place to ensure an immediate transfer of learning. The course also examines other important aspects of personal safety such as the stages of violent crime and the assault cycle. We will empower your staff giving them the skills, to stay safe, in the work place or on the way to or from their work place.
